I know the age old saying goes: Where there is smoke, there is fire. A play on that very saying had me thinking while creating this makeup look. My go to eye look always includes a pretty aggressive winged cat eye and my typical go to lashes. As with anything when I step outside of my comfort zone there is apprehension. Then I thought, why second guess myself? Just go with it! And so I did. I knew I wanted a smokey eye and I decided to do a toned down gray smoke. I used mostly the Sephora Blockbuster palette combining the dark gray creme eye shadow as a base with the light gray and black shadow to smoke it out. To blend out my crease I used a fluffy brush and Pixi Beauty’s Bronzer in Summertime. It was hard for me to resist the wing… but surprisingly I managed to do it! I put my usual falsies aside to try out a new set of lashes I saw on my latest Walgreen’s Beauty hunt. These Kiss Blooming Lashes in Lily caught my attention because they have drama but look and feel natural at the same time.  In the end I’m glad I decided to stray from my norm and this may actually be my new go to look! To me it was just another one of life’s reminders to not second guess myself. Have faith in your fire and when in doubt, smoke it out!!
